This is amazing Teresa and you have such detail actual recollection of the moments. Amazing what you were doing at 12! Hope you are enjoying mine! A bit different and from an earlier time, but connected by a love of music. Will give your page a shout out on a note. I'm new to Substack so feeling my way around. I like the idea of doing audio... if I had time!
Aw, hi Seb! I have indeed been enjoying your diaries - I meant to leave a comment on your latest one, I'll pop over in a mo. I'll also add your newsletter to my recommendations (so that when new folks sign up for mine, they hear about yours too) I definitely think our readers cross over, which is great. As for audio, I'd say experiment and see if you enjoy it - I just keep it as simple as possible, and I do find it fun. Some parts of my diaries are so visual that it's not always easy to verbalise what's on the page, but it adds an extra dimension!
Another cracker! Having been a fan of Joseph myself I had a glorious time singing your Close Every Door Lyrics to the tune and snorting with laughter. Haven't listened to the audio yet but I hope you sing the lyrics too. Hehehe! (It reminds me of the bit in I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue when they have to sing the lyrics of one song to the tune of another...) ANYWAY thank you and yes please to a podcast! xx
JOY you sang the lyrics! Day made. I bet you did the 'loads of dosh' ending :-) Sadly / luckily, I didn't sing on the audio but I have tried it out in real life. Now just need to get Jason D to see this and video himself singing them... or maybe reprise the entire musical with that version? Yes I think that's on the cards, for sure. Thank you, Joy!!! xx
